How to write a slot review

I’ve never written a Slot Review before!

Not to worry! There is always a first time! You can probably see that we have a lot of slot review tasks available so we’re going to help you master this. You’ll find it valuable to learn because you’ll be able to write confidently and quickly too.

Let’s start at the very beginning

You’re going to get the hang of this quickly, so just read on and take in the information. The best place to start is to literally google the slot review. Just type in the name of the slot you are meant to be reviewing and a ton of information will pop up.

All the information that comes up will help you write the review. This doesn’t mean you can copy and paste and you are done. It’s not THAT easy 🙂

You need to remember to use more than one review as your source of information. Using one source just becomes a complete copy and paste.

Important Tip:

The information on the review you have found on Google might be out of date, so please remember to check the facts on the game developer’s website.

What information is in a Slot Review?

Below are some points which you should follow when writing a slot review.

Step 1: Writing an introduction

You’ll find a lot of information on Google, so choose wisely the information you want to include. You definitely want to be describing the theme of the slot. You can talk about graphics and sounds too. Also mention the Developer – who made the game?

Step 2: Features and functions

Readers want to read all about the best features and functions of this slot. Mention minimum and maximum bets, RTP and any special design features (e.g. 3D). Talk about bonus rounds and free spins. This is always important. Wilds, scatter and their functions, bonus game, free spin rounds. How do they work? Is there a jackpot? Is it progressive? etc. How can it be won?

Step 3: How to play

In order to write about this, you might find it useful to have a go at playing it yourself. Many will let you have a free spin to try it out. BUT, if this is not up your alley, don’t worry at all! There is a lot of information that can be found when looking at other reviews about the slot.

Just remember! Your reader is looking for information on how to play the game in a quick and easy way.

Super Important Tip:

The structure of a slot review will vary between clients, so it’s important to pay attention to the specific instructions.

One other thing, if not stated otherwise, use EUROS or the local currency of the website.

Step 4: Your (tone of) voice matters!

Your voice always matters! When writing a review, the way you write, your tone of voice, your writing style is super important! When people read, they only have words on a paper. Create a style that will help them actually visualise how this content is being written … if written in a creative way, it will help readers retain this information more. Think fun and engaging! HOWEVER … also think objective and informative. This review is not about your own personal opinion. So make it sound fun, have fun writing it, but it must ALWAYS be informative and objective.
